As excitement builds for Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming concert in Delhi, police warn fans to stay vigilant against online ticket scams.
Concert Fever Grips Delhi, Fans Left Scrambling for Tickets
Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh is all set to perform in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium this October as part of his Dil-Luminati Tour. With tickets reportedly selling out in just 60 seconds, fans have been left disappointed, and the frenzy for passes has only intensified. The concert, which is highly anticipated, saw ticket prices soar to unexpected heights, leaving many without the chance to secure a spot.
Delhi Police Warns Fans of Online Ticket Scams
Amidst the overwhelming demand, Delhi Police has stepped in to caution concertgoers about potential online fraud. In an Instagram post shared by the official Delhi Police handle, a lighthearted but serious message warned fans to avoid purchasing tickets from unverified sources. The video, featuring a concert crowd in the background, included the message, “In the quest to listen to a song, don’t fall for ticket scams. Verify the link. Delhi Police cares for you.”
The post’s caption reinforced this by urging people to be alert and avoid losing money through online fraud. The warning comes as many fans, in desperation, have been turning to third-party sellers and unofficial links in search of tickets.
Fans React to the Police’s Alert
Delhi Police’s post sparked a range of reactions online. One user humorously commented, “Then give me the correct link, Police Uncle.” Another fan joked, “I’ll save that money and pay my challan instead!” While some praised the police for their effort, others noted the casual tone of the message, saying it made the serious topic more approachable.
Ticket Prices Skyrocket Amid High Demand
The frenzy around Diljit’s concert has also led to sky-high ticket prices. According to Diljit’s manager, Sonali Singh, tickets for the international leg of his tour have sold for as much as Rs 54 lakh and Rs 46 lakh in the US. In India, rumors are circulating that tickets are being sold in black after the official sale ended. Though these claims are yet to be verified, it’s clear that the demand for Diljit’s concert is unprecedented.
