Vedang Raina, the actor who will soon be seen playing Alia Bhatt’s brother in the upcoming film Jigra, made his debut appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show. In a fun-filled episode, Vedang was accompanied by Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar, and Kapil Sharma, known for his witty banter, didn’t miss an opportunity to tease the young actor. And it wasn’t long before Khushi Kapoor’s name entered the conversation, much to Vedang’s embarrassment.
Kapil Teases Vedang with Khushi’s Name
The rumors of Vedang Raina and Khushi Kapoor dating have been swirling for a while, even though neither of them has confirmed the relationship publicly. The two are often spotted together, adding fuel to the speculations. Kapil Sharma, with his signature style, brought up Khushi’s name in a subtle yet teasing manner. He didn’t need to mention the full name—just “Khushi” was enough to send Vedang blushing, with Karan Johar fully backing Kapil in the fun.
Karan Johar Joins the Fun
During the show, Kapil asked Vedang a series of light-hearted questions, making sure the conversation was filled with laughter. One of the questions was about Vedang’s feelings about working alongside Alia Bhatt but in the role of her brother in the film Jigra. Kapil humorously compared the situation to getting something valuable, only to find out that it was no longer valid, much like getting a Rs 2000 note during demonetization. This playful comparison left everyone in splits.
Vedang admitted he was excited about working with Alia. However, before he could complete his answer, Karan Johar interjected with a cheeky, “Oh, I’m happy!” which only added to Vedang’s flustered state. The interaction brought out even more teasing from Kapil and Karan, with Alia joining in the laughter.
Where Does Vedang Find His Happiness?
Kapil, not missing a beat, continued to probe Vedang, asking him where he finds his happiness. The actor, still blushing, responded that his true happiness comes from being on set and working with such talented individuals. His admiration for Alia Bhatt was evident, as he shared his excitement about getting the opportunity to act alongside her.
Kapil’s Fun Kashmir Reference
Kapil also made a humorous reference to Vedang’s Kashmiri roots, calling him the “first apple in the first box.” He asked Vedang who was responsible for discovering and “plucking” him. To this, Vedang explained that while his family hails from Kashmir, he never lived there. His family moved to Delhi, and shortly after he was born, they relocated to Mumbai. So, while he is technically Kashmiri, he identifies more with Mumbai, where he grew up.
