Adah Sharma, known for her roles in films like “The Kerala Story” and “Bastar,” is making headlines after renting an apartment in Bandra that once belonged to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress leased the apartment in October 2023 and has moved in with her mother and grandmother. In a recent press conference on Monday, August 12, Adah, currently collaborating with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, clarified details about her new living arrangement.
Renting Sushant Singh Rajput’s Former Apartment
Adah Sharma revealed that she shifted to the Bandra apartment about four months ago but was initially occupied with promoting her recent projects, including the OTT release of “Bastar” and “The Kerala Story.” She also spent time at the Elephant Sanctuary in Mathura before finally settling into her new home.
Addressing her decision to rent the apartment, Adah shared, “The house I have rented is not mine. The Rs 300 crores I reportedly earned from ‘The Kerala Story’ are not mine, so I am staying on rent. I’m not the only one contributing to the rent; my grandmother also helps. Since I am living there, I contribute as well. My mother, who doesn’t work, takes care of cooking. The apartment actually belongs to Mr. Lalwani, who I believe is currently in South Africa. Sushant also lived here on rent; it was never his property but belongs to Mr. Lalwani.”
Positive Vibes in the New Home
Adah Sharma, who previously lived in Pali Hill, Bandra, all her life, mentioned that this is her first time moving out of her childhood home. She expressed her sensitivity to the vibes of a place, stating that the new apartment gives her a sense of positivity. “Our homes in Kerala and Mumbai are surrounded by trees, and we used to feed birds and squirrels. I wanted a home that had a view and enough space to continue this,” she shared.
Adah Sharma’s Upcoming Film: A Biopic on Dr. Ajay Muria
Apart from her new home, Adah Sharma is also gearing up for her upcoming film, a biopic titled Tumko Meri Kasam. The movie is based on the life of Dr. Ajay Muria, the founder of Indira IVF, and explores themes of betrayal, ambition, and love. Adah will be seen alongside Ishwak Singh and Anupam Kher in the film, where she will portray the role of Indira, a significant character in Dr. Muria’s life.
