Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has a lesser-known story that’s not from a movie but from his real life. The actor, known for his fearless roles on screen, once had a terrifying encounter with the infamous Chambal dacoits. He narrated this shocking incident during Anupam Kher’s chat show, “Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai,” sharing how he barely escaped harm by pretending to be asleep while the dacoits looted the train.
The Terrifying Train Journey
Akshay Kumar was traveling by train when he learned that a group of dacoits from Chambal had boarded. These dacoits were notorious for their ruthlessness in robbing passengers. Akshay, who was carrying around ₹4,500 worth of goods, including clothes, was startled but chose to stay calm. He explained that even the slightest noise usually wakes him up, and this time, it was no different.
Pretending to Be Asleep Saved His Life
As the dacoits began looting passengers in the compartment, Akshay instinctively pretended to be asleep. He revealed how he told himself to remain quiet, fearing that any movement or sound could cost him his life. The dacoits were taking away everyone’s belongings, and when they reached Akshay, they took all of his possessions as well, without leaving behind even his slippers. The actor shared that he had to watch helplessly as the thieves walked away with everything he owned.
Left with Nothing at Delhi Station
Akshay recalled how he felt devastated, especially after losing all his belongings during the journey. When the train reached Delhi Station, he stepped off with nothing in hand. Everything, including his luggage and slippers, was taken by the Chambal dacoits, leaving him empty-handed at the end of his trip.
Upcoming Movies Despite Recent Setbacks
While this real-life event was a terrifying experience for Akshay, his professional life also faced challenges recently. His last three movies – “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” “Sarfira,” and “Khel Khel Mein” – didn’t perform well at the box office. However, the actor remains optimistic about his upcoming films. Akshay will soon be seen in Priyadarshan’s “Bhoot Bangla” and Rohit Shetty’s much-anticipated film, “Singham Again.” His cameo in the recently released film “Stree 2” has already garnered attention, and fans have high hopes for his future projects.
Akshay Kumar’s story of his close call with the Chambal dacoits adds yet another fascinating chapter to his life, proving that sometimes reality can be more dramatic than the movies.
