Ali Fazal, born on 15th October 1986 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is one of Bollywood’s most talented actors, who has also made a name for himself on the international stage. As the actor turns 38 today, let’s take a closer look at his journey from personal struggles to the limelight of both Bollywood and Hollywood.

Ali’s career might look like a fairytale from the outside, but his childhood was filled with hardship. His parents separated when he was in 12th class, which had a deep impact on his life. He was raised primarily by his mother, and the news of his father’s departure came as a big shock to young Ali.

Early Struggles and Introduction to Acting

Ali Fazal did his schooling in places like Lucknow, Dehradun, and Mumbai. He completed his graduation in commerce from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Despite pursuing a non-arts degree, he developed a deep interest in acting, which eventually became his passion.

His career started with a small role in the English film The Other End of the Line (2008). While this role didn’t bring him immediate fame, it set the foundation for his future in the entertainment industry. His Bollywood debut came with the film 3 Idiots in 2009, where his role as Joy Lobo, though small, caught the audience’s attention.

His comic timing and natural flair for acting made him stand out. Fukrey became a significant milestone in Ali’s career, and it helped him establish himself as a versatile actor in the industry.

Following the success of Fukrey, he appeared in films like Bobby Jasoos, Khamoshiyan, and Happy Bhag Jayegi. Although some of these films didn’t achieve massive box office success, Ali’s performances were consistently praised.
