There has been a lot of discussion about nepotism in Bollywood over the years. Outsiders in the industry often claim that star kids receive more support than they do. Recently, actress Taapsee Pannu shared her thoughts on this matter, saying that star kids often stand by each other in tough times, while outsiders don’t have the same kind of support system. However, actor Amit Sial, known for his roles in ‘Mirzapur’ and ‘Maharani,’ has disagreed with Taapsee’s statement.
Amit Sial Shares His Thoughts
In an interview with YouTube channel Switch, Amit Sial responded to Taapsee’s comments. He said that star kids naturally have closer relationships because they’ve known each other since childhood. They grow up together, go to the same schools, and have strong friendships. In contrast, outsiders in the industry come from different places and backgrounds, meeting each other only when they start working. According to Amit, this makes it harder for them to form deep bonds like star kids.
Why Star Kids Are United
Amit further explained why star kids tend to stick together. He asked, “Why would outsiders have the same level of affection for each other? They haven’t known each other since childhood.” He pointed out that star kids have grown up in the same social circles, with their parents also being friends. This long-standing connection, he said, naturally leads to strong friendships among them.
According to Amit, it’s not realistic to expect outsiders to form groups just because they’re from outside the industry. He said that forming friendships is natural, and it doesn’t depend on whether someone is an outsider or a star kid. He also emphasized that being part of a group or working together isn’t something that can be forced.
Taapsee’s View on Nepotism
Taapsee Pannu has always been vocal about the issue of nepotism in Bollywood. In a recent interview with ANI, she expressed her opinion on how outsiders should learn from star kids when it comes to unity and supporting each other. Taapsee believes that whether a film is successful or not, star kids always have each other’s back. In her opinion, this is something outsiders lack, and it adds to their insecurity towards one another.
Taapsee has never shied away from speaking her mind on issues like nepotism. She is known for her strong performances in films and her candid views. Her latest release, ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba,’ came out on Netflix on August 9. The film, directed by Jayapradha Desai and written by Kanika Dhillon, stars Taapsee alongside Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal. Fans have praised her portrayal of the character Rani in the movie.
Amit’s Stand on Taapsee’s Statement
Amit Sial doesn’t agree with Taapsee’s view that outsiders should be more united like star kids. He believes that friendships and support systems among star kids come naturally because of their shared history and upbringing. On the other hand, outsiders come from diverse backgrounds, and their paths cross only when they enter the film industry. For Amit, expecting outsiders to unite in the same way as star kids doesn’t make sense.
This difference of opinion between Taapsee and Amit highlights the ongoing conversation about nepotism in Bollywood. While Taapsee suggests that outsiders should learn from star kids, Amit argues that outsiders can’t have the same kind of relationships as star kids, simply because their journeys are different.
