Famed choreographer Jani Master, who has worked on several hit songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi cinema, is currently facing severe allegations of sexual misconduct. A 21-year-old woman has accused Jani Master of sexually assaulting her multiple times. The police have registered a case following her complaint, and the investigation is now underway.
Case Registered in Telangana Police Station
According to reports from PTI, the Raidurgam police in Telangana initially registered a zero FIR before transferring the case to the Narsingi police station for further investigation. The complainant, who had previously worked with Jani Master, alleged that he had harassed and misbehaved with her on multiple occasions. This incident has sent shockwaves through the film industry, especially as the industry is already dealing with various cases of sexual harassment.
Jani Master’s Acclaimed Career Under Scrutiny
Jani Master has choreographed for some of the most popular songs in Indian cinema. He recently worked on the song ‘Aai Nahi’ for Stree 2. He also won the National Film Award for Best Choreography for ‘Megham Karukkatha’ from Thiruchitrambalam (2022) and has multiple Filmfare Awards South and SIIMA Awards under his belt.
Some of his notable works include chartbusters like ‘Kavala’ from Jailer (2023), ‘Ranjitham’ from Varisu (2023), and ‘Srivalli’ from Pushpa: The Rise (2021). Despite his professional achievements, these serious allegations have cast a shadow over his celebrated career.
Jani Master also made headlines earlier this year by joining the Jana Sena Party (JSP) under the leadership of Pawan Kalyan. The current allegations have now brought unwelcome attention to his personal life, with investigations continuing.
