The 2005 hit comedy film No Entry gave audiences a lot of laughs with its hilarious storyline and talented cast, which included Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, and Fardeen Khan. For a long time, there have been rumors about a sequel to this much-loved film, and many fans have been eagerly waiting for No Entry 2. However, there’s been speculation that Fardeen Khan, one of the key actors in the original movie, may not be part of the sequel. Recently, the actor himself cleared the air about his involvement in the film.
Fardeen Khan Confirms He Won’t Be in ‘No Entry 2’
In an interview, Fardeen Khan confirmed that he will not be a part of No Entry 2. This news comes after the film’s producer, Boney Kapoor, had announced that the sequel to No Entry would indeed be happening. However, Fardeen explained that this time, the film will have a fresh star cast, and he won’t be returning to reprise his role.
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Fardeen said, “I believe No Entry 2 has been announced, but I won’t be in it. The film will feature a completely new cast.” When asked why he wasn’t included in the sequel, Fardeen didn’t give any specific reason but simply said, “You should talk to Boney Kapoor for that.”
His Memories of ‘No Entry’
Despite not being part of the sequel, Fardeen has fond memories of working on the original No Entry. He shared how he got involved in the project and why it holds a special place in his heart. Fardeen revealed that he initially agreed to do No Entry only because of Boney Kapoor’s insistence. He was hesitant to take on the role of a goofy, naive character, as it was very different from the kind of roles he had played before.
“I was unsure about playing such a character,” Fardeen admitted. “In No Entry, my role was of a somewhat foolish and innocent guy who wasn’t very smart. I wasn’t confident I could pull it off. But Boney Kapoor convinced me by saying, ‘Fardeen, you’re perfect for this role,’ after watching some scenes from my movie Khushi. So, I decided to trust his vision.”
Full Credit to Boney Kapoor for the Film’s Success
Fardeen credited Boney Kapoor for assembling a brilliant team for No Entry, including choosing the director Anees Bazmee and roping in top actors like Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor. According to Fardeen, the chemistry between the cast and the overall direction made the film a success. He also praised the performances of the female actors, saying everyone worked together seamlessly to make the movie a hit.
Comedy is Not Easy, Says Fardeen
During the interview, Fardeen also reflected on how difficult comedy films can be. He explained that making people laugh is not easy, and both the acting and the script have to be spot on for a comedy to work. “Comedy is the hardest genre,” Fardeen said. “You can’t force laughter; it’s a natural reaction. As an actor, you need to have perfect timing, and even writing a comedy script is challenging because it has to be genuinely funny.” He shared that working on No Entry was a great learning experience for him and that he cherishes all the memories he made during the shoot.
