Kangana Ranaut, known for her bold and outspoken personality, has once again stirred controversy by taking aim at Bollywood. The actress, who has never shied away from expressing her opinions on nepotism and the industry’s inner workings, recently made some harsh remarks about Bollywood parties and the people who attend them. Kangana, currently in the spotlight for her upcoming film Emergency, which is set to release on September 6, didn’t hold back in sharing her disdain for the industry’s social scene.
“Bollywood Parties Are Traumatic”
In a candid YouTube interview with Raj Shamani, Kangana revealed her strong aversion to Bollywood parties, describing them as a source of trauma. She criticized the people who frequent these gatherings, labeling them as “stupid” and “brainless.” According to Kangana, the atmosphere at these parties is far from enjoyable, and she has no interest in participating.
“Bollywood People Are Too Self-Absorbed”
When asked if she has any friends in Bollywood, Kangana was quick to dismiss the idea. She explained that she is not the “Bollywood type” and finds it impossible to connect with people in the industry. Kangana accused Bollywood stars of being overly self-absorbed and uninterested in anything beyond their own lives. She mentioned how their daily routines revolve around fitness, protein shakes, and superficial activities, leaving little room for meaningful connections.
“Bollywood Stars Are Like Locusts, Completely Idle”
Kangana didn’t stop at criticizing their personalities. She went on to describe Bollywood stars as “locusts,” suggesting they are idle and unproductive when not shooting for films. She painted a picture of a monotonous lifestyle where stars spend their days working out, sleeping, and indulging in trivial activities like watching TV. Kangana’s sharp words imply that she finds the industry lacking in substance and creativity.
“No One in Bollywood Has Manners or Depth”
Kangana also expressed her frustration with the lack of intellectual conversation in Bollywood. She recounted how she tried to find someone in the industry who had good manners and could engage in discussions beyond superficial topics like branded bags or luxury cars. According to her, this search was unsuccessful, leading her to further distance herself from the Bollywood social scene.
Acknowledging the Khans
Despite her harsh criticism, Kangana recently made headlines for a different reason. She praised Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan, even expressing her desire to work on a film with them. This acknowledgement of the Khans stands in stark contrast to her usual critical stance towards the industry, showing a more nuanced side to her views.
