Bollywood actress and newly elected BJP MP, Kangana Ranaut, is back in the spotlight, this time for a major property deal. Ranaut recently sold her luxurious bungalow in the upscale Pali Hill area of Bandra, Mumbai, for a whopping Rs 32 crore. This information has come to light through official registration documents.
The bungalow, which Kangana had purchased in September 2017 for Rs 20 crore, has now brought her a handsome profit of Rs 12 crore. The property spans an area of 3,075 square feet, with an additional 565 square feet dedicated to parking. The deal was finalized and registered on September 5, with a stamp duty of Rs 1.92 crore and a registration fee of Rs 30,000 paid by the buyer.
Interestingly, the buyer of this prime property is Shweta Bathija, a partner in Kamalini Holdings, based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
Kangana, who secured a seat as an MP from the Mandi constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, had declared a net worth exceeding Rs 91 crore in her election affidavit. This included Rs 28.7 crore in movable assets and Rs 62.9 crore in immovable assets.
In 2020, Kangana was embroiled in a controversy when the BMC demolished a part of her Bandra property, citing unauthorized construction. Despite this setback, she continued to invest in real estate, recently purchasing an office space in Andheri, Mumbai, for Rs 1.56 crore. The office, located on the 19th floor, spans 407 square feet and was acquired at a rate of Rs 38,391 per square foot.
Kangana Ranaut’s real estate moves continue to keep her in the news, showcasing her sharp business acumen along with her successful film and political career.
