In the latest episode of Sony TV’s quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 16,’ 27-year-old Naresh Meena from Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, captured hearts as she took the hot seat after winning the Fastest Finger First round. Despite battling a brain tumor, Naresh faced each question with confidence and determination, leaving a deep impression on host Amitabh Bachchan.
Naresh’s Battle with Brain Tumor
Naresh, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2018, underwent surgery in 2019. However, the tumor, located in a critical area, could not be fully removed. In a heartfelt moment, Naresh shared with Amitabh Bachchan that her mother had to sell her jewelry to fund the initial surgery. Now, doctors have recommended proton therapy, a specialized treatment available in only a few hospitals across India. The cost of this treatment ranges between Rs 25 to 30 lakh, an amount Naresh hopes to win on KBC to fund her medical expenses.
Amitabh Bachchan’s Emotional Response
Moved by Naresh’s story, Amitabh Bachchan promised to help cover the cost of her proton therapy. “Naresh ji, I will do my best to bear the expenses of your treatment,” he said emotionally. He also expressed his admiration for Naresh’s courage, adding, “It takes immense bravery to speak about your illness on a national platform. I salute your spirit.”
The Rs 1 Crore Question Awaits
Naresh has already won Rs 3.2 lakh on the show and will be seen attempting the Rs 1 crore question in the next episode. The audience is eagerly waiting to see if she will win the amount needed for her treatment.
‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 16,’ which began earlier this month, has been filled with emotional moments, with this particular episode standing out for its touching human story. Naresh’s courage and Amitabh Bachchan’s heartfelt support have made it a memorable moment in the show’s history.
