The spotlight on the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has intensified after recent events, with fresh reports revealing that Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui is also on their radar. While Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has long been a target of the gang, Munawar’s name being added to the list has come as a shock, prompting Mumbai Police to enhance his security.
Increased Security for Munawar Faruqui
As per reports, the Mumbai Police has confirmed providing security to Munawar Faruqui, who also hosts the gaming reality show Playground Season 4. The heightened protection is due to possible threats from the Bishnoi gang, although officials have not officially tied the danger to any specific group.
The need for additional security surfaced after an incident in Delhi in September. Munawar was scheduled to attend an event in the capital, but Delhi Police’s Special Cell received a tip-off about a possible attack on him. Following the alert, Munawar was withdrawn from the event and escorted back to Mumbai under police protection. Since then, Mumbai Police has been monitoring the situation closely.
Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Behind Recent Threats?
The fear of violence escalated after NCP leader Baba Siddiqui was murdered in Mumbai, and the Bishnoi gang took responsibility for the killing via a viral Facebook post. In the message, the gang warned against supporting Salman Khan and issued veiled threats towards those aligned with him or Dawood Ibrahim.
The murder of Siddiqui and these warnings have triggered concern across Bollywood, leading to enhanced security measures for Salman Khan. But now, the reports of Munawar Faruqui also being a potential target have alarmed fans and the entertainment industry.
Police on High Alert After September Incident
The September incident was a key turning point. At the time, Munawar was expected to perform at an event in Delhi, but the police intercepted credible intelligence suggesting that the Bishnoi gang was plotting an attack. To prevent any untoward incident, Munawar’s participation was canceled at the last minute, and he returned to Mumbai under police escort.
Mumbai Police acted swiftly following the warning, ensuring increased surveillance around Munawar’s residence and work locations.
Bishnoi’s Warning Sparks Fear in Bollywood
The Facebook post by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has created a wave of fear across Bollywood. “We do not want a war, but those supporting Salman Khan and Dawood Ibrahim should be prepared to settle their accounts,” read the post. With multiple figures now under threat, the authorities are staying vigilant to ensure safety.
