The investigation into the high-profile Renukaswamy murder case has brought many shocking details to light in recent months. Kannada film actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and actress Pavithra Gowda have been in jail since June, accused of being involved in the brutal killing of Renukaswamy. Recently, the police submitted a charge sheet with 230 pieces of evidence, making the case even stronger against the accused.
Key Evidence Presented
The police filed the charge sheet in court on September 4, revealing critical evidence that points toward the involvement of Darshan and Pavithra. One of the major pieces of evidence includes blood stains found on the clothes of Darshan and Pavithra, which links them directly to the crime scene. The forensic report, which analyzed the blood stains, was also submitted along with other crucial evidence.
Shocking Incident Before Murder
One of the most disturbing details that came to light is that Pavithra Gowda allegedly slapped Renukaswamy before the murder. According to the charge sheet, Pavithra told Renukaswamy that he “did not deserve to live” and even kicked him, which left bloodstains on her sandals and clothes. This brutal behavior was followed by more severe torture that led to his death.
Crime Scene Details
The police investigation also revealed that Renukaswamy was severely beaten before being killed. A group of 15 people, led by Darshan Thoogudeepa, attacked Renukaswamy mercilessly. The charge sheet also includes a photo from the crime scene where Renukaswamy can be seen pleading with folded hands, begging for his life, but his pleas were ignored, and he was brutally murdered.
Mobile Location and CCTV Footage
Apart from the forensic evidence, the police have also provided mobile location data and CCTV footage showing both Darshan and Pavithra present at the crime scene. Their mobile phones were tracked to the location, and they were seen together in the CCTV footage recorded in the area.
Renukaswamy’s Torture Before Death
The charge sheet revealed gruesome details of how Renukaswamy was tortured before being killed. According to the police, a Megger machine was used to give him electric shocks, which caused severe injuries, including bursting his testicles. This horrifying level of torture left Renukaswamy helpless, and his body was later found in the Kamakshipalya area of Bengaluru on June 9.
Questions About Jail Privileges
As the case continues to unfold, there have been reports suggesting that actor Darshan might be receiving special treatment in jail. A viral photo showing Darshan in what appeared to be a more comfortable situation in jail caused a stir on social media. This led to a senior officer being summoned to investigate whether Darshan was getting VIP facilities while behind bars.
The murder of Renukaswamy has shaken the entire Kannada film industry and has left fans of Darshan shocked. With the police submitting strong evidence, the case now looks more challenging for Darshan and Pavithra, who continue to remain in jail as the trial progresses.
