Vijayta Pandit, wife of late music composer Aadesh Shrivastava, has recently made an emotional appeal to Bollywood superstars Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. She has requested them to help her son, Avitesh Shrivastava, make his mark in the film industry, following a promise made by Shahrukh to her late husband.
Vijayta Pandit’s Emotional Request to Shahrukh Khan
In a heartfelt interview with Laharen Retro, Vijayta Pandit shared how her late husband Aadesh Shrivastava, before passing away from cancer in 2015, had asked Shahrukh Khan to take care of their son, Avitesh.
At the time of Adesh’s death, he was unable to speak but had reportedly gestured to Shahrukh Khan, indicating that he should look after Avitesh and support him in his career. However, despite several attempts to contact Shahrukh, Vijayta has been unable to reach him.
Speaking about this, Vijayta said, “This is the time Shahrukh, we need you. My son needs a little help. You can give him the push he needs by making a film with him under your banner. Avitesh is a talented actor, and he just needs that one chance.”
Shahrukh Khan and the Bond with Aadesh Shrivastava
Aadesh Shrivastava was a well-known composer who had worked with some of the biggest names in the Bollywood industry. His close friendship with Shahrukh Khan is well-known, and this bond is what led him to ask Shahrukh to help his son in his final moments.
Vijayta recalls the times when Shahrukh Khan and Adesh shared a great camaraderie, and she now hopes that the superstar will keep the promise made to her husband.
Family’s Role in Shahrukh Khan’s Early Success
During the interview, Vijayta Pandit also highlighted how her family played a key role in Shahrukh Khan’s success during his early years in Bollywood. Her brothers, Jatin-Lalit, the popular music composer duo, were responsible for many hit songs in Shahrukh’s blockbuster films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman.
Vijayta said, “When Shahrukh was just starting out, my brothers gave some of their best music to his films. They were a huge part of his success story. Shahrukh Khan is a big star today, but it’s important to remember the people who supported him when he was new. I hope he considers this and steps forward to help our family now.”
Avitesh Shrivastava: The Next Big Star?
Vijayta believes that her son Avitesh is a talented actor who just needs an opportunity to prove himself. Currently, Avitesh is working on his debut film, Sirf Ek Friday, but Vijayta feels that with a little support from the industry, he could truly shine.
She hopes that Shahrukh Khan, with his influential banner Red Chillies Entertainment, can help launch Avitesh into the spotlight. Avitesh has already shown promise in his musical career, and Vijayta is confident that with the right backing, he could become a big name in Bollywood.
Appeal to Amitabh Bachchan: Time to Return the Favor
Along with Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan also shares a close connection with Aadesh Shrivastava. Vijayta Pandit recalls how Amitabh was always there for her family during important events, especially those related to Avitesh. The legendary actor even attended the launch of Avitesh’s first song, showcasing his support for the young artist.
However, in recent years, Amitabh has not been in touch with the family, and Vijayta hopes that he will once again step forward to support Avitesh. She recalls the strong bond between Amitabh and Adesh, particularly how Adesh helped Amitabh during a critical phase in his career.
“Aadesh worked day and night with Amitabhji during his comeback. He played a key role in his success. Now the time has come for Amitabh to support my son, as a way to honor his friendship with Aadesh,” Vijayta shared.
She further emphasized that her appeal is not for financial help but for a push in the right direction for Avitesh, who is determined to make a name for himself in the industry.
