The third installment of Tom Hardy’s Venom series, titled Venom: The Last Dance, is off to a flying start at the box office. The film, released globally and in India just four days ago, has already captured the attention of Indian audiences, surpassing the collections of popular Bollywood releases.
Venom 3 vs Bollywood: Box Office Clash
On its first day in India, Venom: The Last Dance made ₹4.65 crore. It saw strong growth, collecting ₹7.5 crore on the second day and ₹9.25 crore on the third. By the fourth day, the movie earned ₹6.59 crore by 7 PM, bringing its total to ₹28.26 crore so far.
In comparison, Rajkummar Rao’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and Alia Bhatt’s Jigra have not been able to match this pace. Vicky Vidya managed to collect ₹27 crore in its first week, while Jigra earned ₹22.45 crore during the same period. With Venom 3 already nearing the ₹30 crore mark within four days, it has clearly outperformed these two Bollywood films.
A Look at Venom: The Last Dance
Venom: The Last Dance marks the final chapter of the popular anti-hero series. The first film, Venom, came out in 2018, followed by Venom: Let There Be Carnage in 2021. This new release concludes the story of Eddie Brock and his symbiotic alter ego, Venom, with Tom Hardy delivering an intense performance.
Produced by Sony Pictures, the movie has been appreciated for its action-packed sequences and Hardy’s portrayal of the unpredictable anti-hero. Supporting performances by Juno Temple and Peggy Lu add depth to the narrative.
With its strong start, Venom: The Last Dance not only proves the continued popularity of the franchise but also highlights how international films are making a significant impact at the Indian box office.
