Akriti Chopra, co-founder and Chief People Officer (CPO) of online food delivery giant Zomato has stepped down from her position after an impressive 13-year stint. Zomato made the announcement, highlighting Akriti’s immense contribution to the company’s growth over the years. CEO Deepinder Goyal praised her ability to bring structure to challenging situations and for being an integral part of the Zomato journey.
A Journey of Growth and Leadership
Akriti joined Zomato in 2011 as a Senior Manager in Finance and Operations. Over time, her roles expanded as she rose through the ranks. In 2012, she became the Vice President of Finance and Operations. In 2020, she was appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and took on the role of co-founder and CPO in 2021.
Apart from her leadership at Zomato, Akriti is married to Albinder Dhindsa, founder of Blinkit, which Zomato acquired in 2022.
