Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who has recently ventured into politics, is finding it challenging to balance her dual roles as an actress and a Member of Parliament (MP). After winning from the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency in Himachal Pradesh, Kangana has become deeply involved in her political duties, which has significantly impacted her work in the film industry.
Juggling Politics and Acting
Kangana Ranaut recently opened up about the difficulties of managing her responsibilities as an MP and her commitments as an actress in an interview with Variety. She admitted that being an MP is a demanding job, especially given the challenges faced by her constituency. “Being an MP is a very demanding job, especially in my constituency. We have floods, and I need to be present everywhere. I have to go to Himachal and ensure things are improving,” she shared.
The Impact on Her Film Career
The ongoing floods in Himachal Pradesh have made Kangana’s already hectic schedule even more challenging. Her political responsibilities have taken priority, and as a result, her film projects have been put on hold. Kangana acknowledged that her work in the film industry is suffering due to her political career. “My film work is getting affected. My projects are waiting. I am not able to start my shooting,” she said.
Despite the pressures of her dual roles, Kangana remains committed to both her political career and her work in the film industry. She is also attending the Parliament session and is trying to balance both roles. She mentioned, “I am very open. And whoever needs me more and keeps me more busy as a person, I will eventually adopt that path. But a lot is happening in my life right now.”
Fans Eagerly Await ‘Tanu Weds Manu 3’
On the professional front, Kangana’s fans are eagerly awaiting the third installment of the Tanu Weds Manu franchise. Kangana delivered powerful performances in the first two films, and there has been much anticipation for the next chapter. However, director Anand L. Rai recently provided an update, stating that the story for Tanu Weds Manu 3 has not been finalized yet. He explained, “In Tanu Weds Manu Returns, we introduced a new character, Datto. All these characters are demanding a third part. As soon as we have a good story that Tanu, Manu, and Datto deserve, we will definitely make it.”
