Sana Maqbool, the winner of ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’, has been making headlines since her big win. In a candid interview, she shared her feelings about the lack of support from ex-contestants during her victory moment and addressed the viral clip involving Munawar Farooqui. Here’s what Sana had to say about her journey and the reactions following her triumph.
Sana’s Mixed Emotions on Winning
Sana Maqbool expressed her joy and pride at winning the ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’ trophy. Speaking to Times of India, she said, “I was enjoying the attention. I love the support and love people are showing me. I’m proud of what I’ve achieved, and my confidence has reached a new level.” However, despite her happiness, Sana couldn’t ignore the disappointment she felt when her fellow ex-contestants didn’t even clap when her name was announced as the winner.
Disappointment on Stage
Recalling the moment, Sana said, “When I was on stage, I didn’t want to share my trophy with anyone except my friends. I was calling Shivani, Lavkesh, and Vishal, but they didn’t come.” She later learned from Shivani that they had been instructed not to go on stage, possibly to capture the moment of her victory. Despite this explanation, Sana couldn’t help but feel hurt that the other contestants didn’t celebrate her win. “I felt bad. I thought, ‘Now that the girl has won, be happy for her,’ but no one was there,” she added.
Support from Friends
While the lack of applause stung, Sana found comfort in the support of her close friends. “For the other contestants, someone else was the winner. But the people who mattered to me were happy—like my mother, sister, Vishal, Lavkesh, and Naji,” she said. Sana even asked the show’s director, Anil Sir, for permission to share her trophy with Naji, as she considered him a winner as well.
Elvish Yadav’s Support
Sana also addressed the support she received from Elvish Yadav, saying, “I don’t know why Elvish made that comment, but what matters is that he supported me.” She mentioned that despite not knowing him personally, she felt that his support was genuine, especially since he is a friend of Lovkesh, who also backed her during the show.
Munawar Farooqui’s ‘Dimple Girl’ Clip
A clip of Munawar Farooqui talking about a ‘dimple wali girl’ in ‘Bigg Boss 17’ has been making the rounds on social media. Addressing this, Sana clarified, “Munawar is my friend. I knew about his participation in the show and, as a friend, you always support your friends.” She explained that before Munawar entered the house, he asked her team to help him with clothes and other necessities, a request she was happy to fulfill.
Facing Rejections and Rising Above
Sana also shared her journey to success, revealing that she started from scratch and faced many rejections along the way. “I’ve seen many ups and downs. I’ve learned not to lose courage and to get up again,” she said, reflecting on her struggles and growth.
