The prestigious Khel Ratna Award for 2024 will honor four exceptional athletes, including shooting star Manu Bhaker and chess prodigy D Gukesh. On the other hand, D Gukesh achieved a historic milestone in chess by defeating China’s Ding Liren to become the youngest world champion at just 18 years old. His remarkable achievement in December 2023 has made him a standout figure in Indian sports.
Harmanpreet Singh and Praveen Kumar Join the Elite List
Harmanpreet Singh, a vital player in India’s bronze-winning hockey team at the Paris Olympics, scored an impressive 10 goals during the tournament. His leadership on the field played a crucial role in the team’s success.
