Led by their captain Padma Chorol, who scored a remarkable hat-trick, Spamo turned around a 0-2 deficit to defend their title successfully. The win was celebrated as Spamo lifted the winner’s trophy, while Changla Lamos were honored with the runner-up trophy.

The championship took place at the Nawang Dorjay Stobdan (NDS) Stadium in Leh, organized in collaboration with the UT Administration of Ladakh and the Ice Hockey Association of Ladakh. The grand event saw enthusiastic spectators fill the stadium, reflecting the growing popularity of ice hockey in the region. The sport, which is being promoted as a Winter Olympic event, witnessed increasing support and excitement among local fans.
Intense Match Highlights
The final match started with intense energy as Changla Lamos took an early lead. Captain Tsewang Chushkit scored the opening goal in the 4th minute, followed by another goal in the 11th minute, giving Lamos a solid 2-0 lead by the end of the first period. However, a two-minute penalty against Sonam Angmo gave Spamo a chance to regroup.
Mariel Spamo capitalized on this opportunity in the second period. Captain Padma Chorol scored in the 27th minute, narrowing the gap to 2-1. The momentum shifted, and by the 35th minute, Chorol struck again, leveling the score at 2-2. The excitement in the stadium soared as both teams fiercely competed to take control of the game.

As the final 20 minutes began, the tension escalated. Changla Lamos’ Dichen Angmo received a penalty for aggressive play, giving Spamo a numerical advantage. In a dramatic turn, Padma Chorol completed her hat-trick in the 54th minute, securing a 3-2 victory for Mariel Spamo.
