In the recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16, 19-year-old contestant Sanidhya Gupta from Delhi faced a surprising turn of events when he lost Rs 10,000 due to an incorrect audience poll answer. The question posed by Amitabh Bachchan was related to the famous painting Monalisa by Leonardo da Vinci, and it cost Sanidhya dearly.
The question was, “On which surface did Leonardo da Vinci paint the Monalisa?” The options were: Wood, Paper, Canvas, Bronze. Sanidhya was unsure and decided to use the audience poll lifeline. A majority of the audience, 66%, voted for option C, Canvas, leading Sanidhya to choose this answer. However, to his dismay, Amitabh Bachchan revealed that the correct answer was wood, not canvas.
Sanidhya’s Journey Ends with Rs 10,000, But a Bright Future Ahead
Despite the setback, Amitabh Bachchan praised the young contestant for his calm and composed behavior. Sanidhya, who had ambitions of going far in the quiz show, had to settle with Rs 10,000. Big B, as always, offered encouraging words, reminding the contestant that he had his entire future ahead of him and that there would be plenty of other opportunities to succeed.
Sanidhya’s Passion for Sports and His Future Goals
Sanidhya Gupta, a student of Economics Honors at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, shared his love for sports during the episode. He dreams of owning a cricket team one day, similar to Amitabh Bachchan’s son, Abhishek Bachchan, who is active in the sports industry. Sanidhya’s passion extends beyond just playing sports—he aspires to become a data analyst or data scientist in the sports field, combining his love for games with analytical skills.
A Special Moment with Amitabh Bachchan
Impressed by Sanidhya’s dedication and enthusiasm for sports, Amitabh Bachchan promised to introduce him to Abhishek Bachchan. Big B was visibly moved by the contestant’s ambition and wished him well, giving him some valuable advice before Sanidhya left the show.
