Palak Tiwari, who recently made her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, is no stranger to the limelight. However, before her big-screen entry, Palak was just like any other teenager, trying to get away with harmless pranks. Her mother, popular TV actress Shweta Tiwari, recently shared a funny and memorable incident from Palak’s teenage years on the show Aapka Apna Zakir. The story, which had everyone in splits, also highlighted the strong bond between mother and daughter.
The Sneaky Movie Plan
During the show, Shweta revealed that when Palak was about 13 or 14 years old, she had three close friends. Like most teenagers, Palak and her friends wanted to enjoy some freedom and decided to go watch a movie. However, knowing that their parents wouldn’t approve of them watching a movie at that age, they came up with a creative lie. Palak told her mother that her friend Bhumi’s father was seriously ill and had been admitted to the hospital. The girls, being the caring friends they were, planned to visit him at the hospital.
Shweta, believing her daughter’s story, allowed them to go. “Palak told me they were going to the hospital to take care of Bhumi’s father, and I didn’t suspect anything,” Shweta shared with a smile.
The Perfect Cover-Up
The girls had thought of everything. Whenever Shweta called to check on Palak, Bhumi would answer, saying that Palak was either upstairs with her father or in the washroom. This clever cover-up worked perfectly, as Shweta believed the story and didn’t push too hard to speak directly with her daughter.
Shweta recounted, “Whenever I called, Bhumi would tell me that Palak was either upstairs with her father or busy in the washroom. I didn’t speak to Palak for two hours, but I trusted what Bhumi was saying.”
The Unexpected Discovery
Things were going smoothly for Palak and her friends until Shweta decided to go for a walk in their society. To her surprise, she saw Bhumi’s father walking around, looking perfectly healthy. Confused, Shweta approached him and asked how he was feeling, given that she believed he was hospitalized. Bhumi’s father, oblivious to the girls’ plan, told Shweta that he was completely fine and hadn’t been to the hospital at all.
Realizing that something was amiss, Shweta asked him, “If you’re here, where is Bhumi?” The situation quickly unraveled when Bhumi’s father called his daughter, and Bhumi, still believing her father was in on the lie, innocently said, “Papa, we are at the hospital because Palak’s mother is here.”
Zakir Khan’s Witty Response
Shweta’s recounting of the incident left everyone on the show in stitches. Even the show’s host, Zakir Khan, couldn’t resist praising the girls’ friendship, humorously commenting, “Aye dosti, what example should I give of you? Salute to such friendship.”
A Fun Insight into the Tiwari Household
Shweta’s story not only provided a good laugh but also offered a glimpse into the fun, light-hearted atmosphere of the Tiwari household. Despite the little white lie, it was clear that Palak and Shweta share a close bond, filled with trust and understanding.
The Show’s Struggles
While Aapka Apna Zakir has had its moments of humor and heartwarming stories like this one, the show hasn’t been performing well in terms of ratings. Despite only airing six episodes, there are already rumors that the makers are considering pulling the show off the air due to its low viewership.
Nevertheless, stories like Palak’s cheeky movie escape continue to entertain audiences, reminding everyone of the universal experiences of growing up and the timeless bond between parents and children.
