Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja Pandal is famous for attracting huge crowds during Ganesh Chaturthi, and many celebrities also visit to seek blessings. TV actress Simran Budhroop, known for her role in Pandya Store, recently visited the pandal with her mother. However, what was meant to be a peaceful visit turned into a distressing experience for the actress. Simran shared the details of her incident on social media, expressing her disappointment and anger.
Phone Snatched, Pushed by Staff
According to Simran, while they were waiting in the queue, her mother attempted to click a picture of her daughter standing ahead. Out of nowhere, a staff member snatched her mother’s phone, which led to a heated situation. When Simran intervened to defend her mother, she was also mistreated by the lady bouncers at the pandal. They allegedly pushed her and tried to snatch her phone when she began recording the incident.
Situation Eased After Actress Identity Revealed
Simran posted videos of the incident on her Instagram, where she can be heard shouting, “Don’t do this! What are you doing?” However, the situation was only resolved when the staff realized she was a popular TV actress. They then backed off, but by then, the damage had already been done.
Simran Calls for Better Crowd Management
In her post, Simran expressed her deep disappointment over the way devotees were treated. She stated, “I went to Lalbaugcha Raja with my mother to seek blessings, but our experience was ruined due to the rude behaviour of the staff.” She further emphasized that while large crowds can make management difficult, it’s no excuse to misbehave with the public.
