South superstar Allu Arjun has turned to the High Court for relief in a case filed against him regarding an alleged violation of the election code of conduct in Andhra Pradesh. The controversy dates back to the 2024 assembly elections, where Allu Arjun supported his friend and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader Shilpa Ravi Chandra Reddy in Nandyal.
What Led to the Case Against Allu Arjun?
During the election period, Allu Arjun was seen participating in a public meeting held at the residence of the MLA without obtaining prior permission. His presence drew a huge crowd of fans, which led to traffic disruptions in the area. This incident triggered a complaint against both Allu Arjun and Reddy under Sections 144 and 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for violating public gathering restrictions and election rules.

Allu Arjun’s Appeal in the High Court
Seeking to clear his name, Allu Arjun has now filed an appeal in the High Court, arguing that his intentions were not to create disruptions or violate any rules. According to Arjun, he attended the meeting only to support a friend, without any intention to break the law.
The actor has requested the court to dismiss the case against him, maintaining that the incident was blown out of proportion. The High Court is set to hear the case on 22 October 2024.
